This joint submission for the Universal Periodic Review of Lebanon was written by WILPF Lebanon, together with the Centre for Defending Civil Rights and Liberties (CDCRL) and the Permanent Peace Movement. The submission highlights concerns and recommendations on hate speech and xenophobia; the gendered impacts of small arms proliferation; women’s participation in the political life; environmental issues including wastewater management and forest degradation; migrant domestic workers; and women’s economic and social rights.
