The 10th Triennial Congress of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, 4-9 August, 1946 in Luxembourg, Luxembourg:
In face of the new situation created by the horrors through which so many of our members have passed, this Congress of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom desires solemnly to affirm its adherence to the necessity of firmly maintaining respect for the human rights of each individual friend or ex-enemy alike, and its earnest desire that not only liberty but good will shall govern the action and thought of all the national sections.
