From Global Coordination to Local Strategies : A Practical Approach to Prevent, Address and Document Domestic Violence under COVID-19
This briefing paper analyses successful interventions to make key recommendations for grassroots organisations working on the frontlines of gender and the COVID-19 crisis, as well as policy recommendations for the international community. The first part of this briefing paper gives programmatic recommendations for local and national organisations to prevent, address, and document domestic violence. The second chapter sets out key recommendations for governments, UN Agencies, and international organisations, in aspects of funding, policy-making, and resource distribution amongst other things. The paper is developed by MADRE, Media Matters for Women, MenEngage Alliance, Nobel Women’s Initiative, OutRight Action International, Women Enabled International, and Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF).
